15-16 Cross Country Highlight Video

Both 7th and 8th grade GMS Whites lost tough games. 

Both ELA houses combined today to conduct an activity of overlapped learning strategies. Inside circle students engaged in a dialogue with each other, questioning and claiming ideas with evidence. Outside circle engaged in a digital chat based on the dialogue and evidence presented.

Ethan Saucedo, Madison Winslow, and Ryan Morgan won the Patriot Pen award for writing an essay based on American historical patriotism. They were presented a monetary award this morning and their essays will be sent on to the district level as well. 

Thank you to all who came out to engage in focused conversations as a team built on continual improvement.  We celebrate the great student work demonstrations, and are so encouraged by the open communication with students, parents and teachers.

Our GMS Yerds worked on Mod pages to prepare for the 15-16 yearbook titled “Choose”

Friday morning our Speech team was practicing up their many styles as they get ready for their contests in the coming weeks. 

GMS staff posted pictures in the Cafeteria of loved ones that have served or are serving in the United States Military. Thank you to Mrs. Kastorff for organizing this salute to our troops!

Preschool students visited from Northside and Southwest Elementary Schools today to learn social development, motor skills, and community relations. Middle Schoolers in Mrs Strohms FACS planned all week by preparing snacks, activities, and developing motor skills engagement. In ELA classes our guests also played some table top games and read short stories written by GMS students.
