Mrs. Jennifer Johnson, 6th grade Science teacher, was honored with the My Favorite Teacher Award today. She was nominated by one of her very own students, John Lopez, for going above and beyond to teach learn care for him and all her students. Mrs. Johnson will be on WQAD News Channel 8 in March (possibly March 12th) during the My Favorite Teacher segment. She is one of only 5 teachers selected across the Quad City area. Congratulations Mrs. Johnson, and thank you John Lopez for showing your heartfelt appreciation for an amazing educator.
GMS splits with Wilson
7th grade GMS girls had a tough home loss against an athletic Wilson team. In the 8th grade game our GMS girls slammed the door in the 1st quarter and expanded their lead for the rest of the game to defend their home court. Great work ladies!!!

Balloon Car Races today in the Small Gym, blending calculation of markup and discount percentages and engineering design
Math 7 students designed Balloon Cars this week by calculating costs and material needs through tax markups and store discounts. They raced those cars today in our Multipurpose Room during 1st and 2nd hours.
