Winners of the Argumentative Essay Contest

Mrs. Anderson’s and Mrs. Gale’s 8th grade classes recently participated in an entire grade level essay contest. Students were asked to create an argument using evidence gleaned from an article discussing the popular video game “Pok-e-mon Go”. Each period selected their top three essays to send to the other house to critique and judge the soundness of the argument based on the elements used. These students were chosen by the opposite house as winners for their perspective class periods. It was a fun and interactive learning experience for all students! Congratulations and well done writers!
