Geography and Language Arts classes collaborated to plan and conduct a powerful literacy activity today. Students researched Natural Disasters, prepared claims and evidence, and debated in a Socratic Seminar the case for the worst disasters. This activity also included two levels of peer review and a level of electronic chat using a tool called TodaysMeet.
Writing Center
From Mrs. Gale to her teacher colleagues today – “Today was another busy day in the writing center! Thank you to all who have been sending your students for peer support. Since our “opening” last month we have “coached” 63 students and aided in a variety of writing projects/assignments from several different content areas and grade levels. Teachers, please continue, or consider sending your students during ASAP to the GMS Writing Center. It is truly amazing to see our students collaborate, support, and learn from each other.
