Mrs. DePauw’s Social Studies classes get to learn new faces through a unique Icebreaker
A student read aloud whole-class directions to an icebreaker where students were to silently line up by height tallest to shortest, then sit in seats for the period in that order. This allows for meeting new classmates in a non-threatening and engaging active way.
Friday Fajita Fiesta in FACS!!!
Mrs. Strohm’s family and consumer science classes used their new culinary skills to prepare, serve, and clean up after eating their chicken fajitas in the lab kitchens on a great smelling Friday in the 8th grade hallway at GMS. YUM!!!
Great night of GMS whites volleyball with GHS players rockin’ the gym
A fantastic effort Thursday night by 7th grade came up short in the third game, 23-25. The evening wrapped up with a strong 2 game sweep of Jordan by GMS 8th grade girls. A special thanks to GHS volleyball players and coaches leading the cheers of support for our GMS teams.

7th Graders dive into Ex-box Cardboard Relief Art
Mr. Hamilton and his 7th grade art students began 2018-19 with Ex-box Cardboard Relief Art, utilizing recycled cardboard and combining cuts to design a 3D piece. Mr. David Smith, from Smith Studio in downtown Geneseo, stopped by today to demonstrate a unique style of Cardboard Art and inspire students to think big.
