GMS students and staff are taking this week to learn and celebrate the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement in the US, 1954-1968. Through lessons, activities, discussions and readings we are learning about some of the most historical events like Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, lunch counter sit-ins, Bus boycotts, assassinations, and the Voting Rights Act.

GMS wrestlers took on a bunch of local schools at the annual Middle School Wrestling Tourney. With some top places being claimed by GMS it was a great day.

Winter Magic Week and Photo Booth
Sixth Grade Senate is hosting a photo booth fundraiser during Winter Magic Week. Starting Friday GMS students and staff can get their picture taken with holiday props and get a 4 x 6 photo for $1. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a water bottle filler.
