This was a really cute book. Liz was mildly annoying, especially in terms of her friendships. I feel like she could have communicated better with Joss, specifically about her mom. I feel like she needlessly hurt her for no reason. There was absolutely no need for her to lie. Anyways, Wes is so adorable. Like he actually has my heart. Kind of a jerk, but like it’s okay. The banter was top tier, and both of the main characters are so sweet. Parking spot stuff was so petty and cute. This book isn’t really that sophisticated. It’s more of a quick fun high school romance type of book, and it fulfills that role adequately. I would recommend it to people who like romance novels.
Overall, I didn’t really like this book. I felt it was kind of boring. I also didn’t like how Liz kept lying to Jocelyn. I did like the ending, though.
This is a delightful story that offers a blend of movie references, a cute love story, and the classic “enemies to lovers” trope, all wrapped in a romantic comedy vibe. It follows Liz Buxbaum, a hopeless romantic who adores romantic movies, dresses like her favorite characters, and listens to movie soundtracks. Throughout the book, Liz embarks on a journey to find love while also sharing heartfelt tales about her late mother. This book is sure to make you laugh, cry, and ultimately fall in love with both the story and its characters. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly magical experience.
