Geneseo Middle School joined the Heartland Conference in the fall of 1989. The schools consist of Edison Middle School (Rock Island), Geneseo Middle School (Geneseo), Glenview Middle School (East Moline), John Deere Middle School (Moline), Pioneer Pacers (Alleman), Washington Middle School (Rock Island), and Wilson Middle School (Moline). During the COVID Pandemic (2020, 2021), there were no conference championships held.
