As we move into the next few chapters (Regular is in Chapter 5, Enriched is in Chapter 14), students are allowed to use calculators on their homework.  In fact, they will be allowed to use calculators on all the chapters we cover for the remainder of the year.

We have discussed in class that they still must SHOW THEIR WORK by writing down the numbers and operations that they will type into the calculator.

If you don’t have a calculator at home, smart phones have a calculator app that comes standard with the phone.

Another calculator option is to use the Google calculator:

Hello Enriched students, sorry I couldn’t hang out with you today!

The substitute teacher has given you notes to fill in as you watch the video below.  He or she will check your notes when you are done watching they video.  They will look to see that all your notes are filled in, and they will check the last slide to make sure your problems are correct.

When the teacher “okays” your notes, you may then work on the homework, which is page 229: 3-37 odd (skip 25). ¬†Even if you’re using mental math, make sure to show your work like I did in the notes!
