We have been talking about characters in books. We brainstormed and wrote three words to describe Spookely, and then sorted our letters by long sticks, short sticks, and no sticks. We then sorted letter shapes in our Word Work Journals. Next stop: describing ourselves (as we will be characters in our own book: All About Me, made in the Writing Center).
