We tested all week in Reading… but we still made time for¬†some fun in math!  

We studied characters in fiction texts this week. To begin learning about character traits, we chose inside and outside traits to describe ourselves! We made Character Capes to celebrate our special traits. 

We enjoyed the beautiful day and searched for OU and OW words outside… wearing our Mr. Frown says “OUCH” hats, of course! We loved meeting Mr. Frown.

We spent the day reading notes from leprechauns, writing about How-To Catch a leprechaun, graphing with Skittles, and making a Rainbow Bridge that could hold a pot of gold!

We read Let’s Go to the Moon. Then, we tried some space ice cream! We wrote adjectives to describe how it smelled, looked, and tasted. We then used those adjectives to write sentences about our yummy food. Most of us loved it! Parents, 1W wanted me to share… space ice cream is at Hobby Lobby! …

We¬†read and wrote about Martin Luther King Jr. last week. Then, we received a letter from the governor of¬†Wilkeyville. The town wanted a Martin Luther King Jr. monument, but they didn’t have a lot of money to buy supplies. We each received $10 to buy supplies. We went shopping in our classroom store of recycled …
