We interactively read and wrote about The Bad Case of the Stripes last week. Then we gave ourselves a bad case of the stripes! We practiced looking for “tail letters” and beginning and ending sounds while we wrote.

We had so much fun celebrating Johnny Appleseed’s birthday this week. We read and made poems about apples, compared and contrasted fiction and nonfiction apple books, investigated apples with our five senses, taste-tested and made a sentence about our favorite apple color, and made an Apple Taco recipe!
