it was choosen because it might win an award because it had a really good hook to make you want to read more instead of a book that has a boring hook.
2) I think that this book was chosen for the 2025-2026 caudil list, because many people probably haven’t heard of Hungry Ghost month before. I had’t before I read this book. Also it had a good storyline, and I liked that it was kind of like a mystrey book, but not.
I think it was chosen for the Caudill list because it has an interesting beginning. The beginning makes you want to read more of it.

Hungry goast month is on September 6 saturday 2025 and the Hungry Ghost Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday and it is held to honor the hungry ancestor ghosts and food and drink is put out to satisfy their needs. The Hungry Ghost Festival is celebrated during the seventh month of the Chinese calendar. And as well the color black and red is the colors that atraced the spirits to you and you should change your sheets to an orange color and change your curtens to a orange coller and keep your house clean and bright so the goast don’t come to your house because the goast don’t like bright and clean places.

1.) I feel that the reason that “the ghost book” was picked for the 2025-2026 caudill is because not many people know about hungry ghost month and with it being picked as one of the caudill books makes it more noticeable and will get more people to read it and learn about hungry ghost month
I think they made this a Claudio book because I don’t think many people have heard of hungry ghost month especially me. It’s a fun and interesting book with fun plot twists that make the reader want to keep reading.
