Geneseo MS On the Same Page

And the 2026 read will be Final Season by Tim Green.

Final Season plot summary: Ben is in 6th grade and hoping to quarterback his team to victory this season. However, when his dad, a former NFL player, develops ALS, he and his family question whether or not he will continue to play.

Watch the 2026 OSP Reading Team video to learn about this year’s book and accompanying activities.  Learn more about the author, a former NFL football player, and how Final Season was inspired by the struggles his family has faced with his ALS diagnosis through Tim’s video on YouTube: Final Season Tim Green.

SAVE THE DATE: We will be having our On the Same Page culminating event at GMS on April 11, 10:30 am-noon. Join us for a “practice” 5K to walk the path, talk about the book, and learn about ALS research fundraising. The Spring Book fair will be open, too!

Help us TACKLE ALS by purchasing a fundraising t-shirt. We will do a first order due by Jan 5 for publicity purposes. We will do a second order for shirts to be picked up at our event on April 11. Proceeds from the shirts will be going to Tackle ALS.  See the link for Mango Merch OSP/Tackle ALS shirt to order.

If you are a Geneseo Area Book Club of adults, please check our new page on Book Club kits and find out about our January 27 book club event.

Current 6th-8th graders are still encouraged to join the OSP 2026 reading team to help promote Final Season

Check the schedule below for our meeting dates and times:

Upcoming meeting dates: Thursday, December 4, 11, 18 to record our annual Book Talk video

7:40-8:03 a.m. in GMS Library
