We used candy to practice subtracting to compare. We discussed how many more and how many fewer before eating a sweet treat!

To practice sequencing, we sequenced illustrations from our anchor text,¬¨‚ĆCurious George. Then, we walked the Story Walk and talked about each story event using our key sequence words: first, next, then, and last.  

Mr. Hofer visited our classroom to read a Caldecott Winning book: Kitten’s First Full Moon. The book is also an exemplary text on the Common Core State Standard list! We loved the visit!
