With our story, The Big Trip, we are practicing writing and reading long e words. We played a game called Bump today with “ee” and “ea” words. It was a lot of fun!

We have practiced building numbers with tens and ones all week. We have even practiced building numbers TWO different ways with tens and ones.

Yumm… Space ice cream! We described our space food using adjectives. After we took a bite, we wrote about our experience tasting space food using a topic sentence, sequence words, and a closing sentence.

We designed our own questions to ask an astronaut. Then, we found a real astronaut partner to answer our questions!

We are reading and taking notes! We look like we’re almost ready for second grade.

We are starting a new chapter in math: counting and modeling numbers. To get re-acquainted with our 100 Chart, we first analyzed the chart in groups and found LOTS of patterns. Then, we put together 100 Chart puzzles!    

Before we act as engineers to create a light and sound communication tool, we first have to know all about light and sound! We are having fun exploring sound. 🙂
