1st in the region! For the first time since 2009 the Geneseo Lady Leafs brought home the gold from the regional meet. There were three races and the girls had a strong lead in every race. We are so proud of how hard they have worked up to this point and can’t wait to see what they can do at sectionals!

Conference Meet

What a day! Our girls really pushed themselves despite the cooler weather. There were two races and our girls led both races. Avery finished 4th and Esther came in 5th. The team finished 2nd overall and only missed 1st by 5 points!

Metamora Invitational

The weather was so nice in Metamora this weekend! The top 7 girls ran their hearts out against some of the best teams in the state. Thank you to the other girls who came out to cheer on their teammates. We are looking great for conference!

United Township Dual

This was our last open race of the year! After a quick turn around from the Notre Dame invitational our girls raced with their hearts as well as their legs. Joci ran her personal best on Richmond Hill this meet, and Avery came in first coming close to her personal best! This was a great close to the regular season and our girls are rising in the rankings for the teams in the state.

Notre Dame Invitational

This was our first invitational of the year! There was a varsity race for the top seven girls and a JV race for the next seven girls. Of the 14 athletes 13 had a season best! Over all Geneseo came in fourth out of seven teams. We ran against some of the best teams in the state and hung with them! These girls knocked it out of the park.

Sterling Dual

Sterling has a nice flat course and it was a perfect fall day. For most of the girls this was their fastest race of the season! Our girls came in 1-7 except for the Sterling girl who snuck in 4th place. What a great night!

Galesburg Dual

Today was senior night and poster night, Covid style! The girls finished with a perfect score of 15 points. The top 7 finishers were Esther, Avery, Jaide, Lacey, Jessalyn, Anna and Joselyn. There is one more home meet this year.

Rock Island Meet

The weather for Rocky was perfect fall weather. The course however was not ideal. With switch backs, gopher holes, and hills, our girls slowly over came the Rock Island team. Almost everyone set a new PR on this course!

Moline Dual

The team taking off after the gun
Anna, Joselyn, and Jessalyn running towards Culver Valley. You can see the water they kick up behind them.

The leaders powering up Culver Valley hill together.

The Moline meet was postponed due to rain. The course had standing water and mud everywhere but the team over came the weather and won.

Quincy Dual

A strong pack right from the start (above) Our girls stayed and cheered on their teammates after the race (below)

Quincy was a tough competitor but Anna Snyder and Jaide Flowers passed girls during the second mile securing Geneseo’s one point win over Quincy. Great job girls!
