Welcome to fourth grade math! My hope is that we will work and grow together this year so please check this page often.  The Go Math Links at the top of this page are REALLY helpful.  These contain links to the  student book as well as the Standards Practice Book or practice pages.  It also is where the  reteach pages and the enrichment pages can be found.

I will list all of the resources above for the chapter we are working on.  This includes the video I have made, Mega Math games, Animated Math Models, Itools, etc. We will work on 3-4 new lessons per week most of the time.   I like to keep the entire chapter up so that you may access resources if your child seems to be struggling .

Another important aspect of 4th grade math is mastery of facts.  We will provide some time at school for children to work on facts but it is very important for them to work outside of class as well.  As students become proficient, that time will be utilized in other ways.  There are many tools that are available to practice math facts.  If you have an app that you like and your child is already using it, that works for me.  Good, old-fashioned flashcards also work really well!
