Geneseo Community Unit School District #228 offers a wide variety of special education services for students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. Special education programs are located in all three Geneseo elementary buildings as well as the middle and high school. Geneseo is a member of the Henry-Stark Counties Special Education District which is a special education cooperative serving 9 school districts in Henry and Stark counties. The cooperative provides staff for services such as: psychology, social work, speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, hearing services, and teaching for specialized programs.
