Hello! My name is Lauren Schmidt and I teach 7th grade language arts. This will be my first year of teaching and I am very excited to be at GMS! I am anxiously awaiting for the 2013-2014 school year to start and I cannot wait to meet all of my students.

I grew up in Sheffield, IL and graduated from Bureau Valley High School. I started my college career at Illinois State University, but ended up transferring and graduating from Northern Illinois University. I have my secondary teaching certificate in both English and history.
