Hello 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> Grade Families,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we enter the final stretch of the 2021-22 School year, I wanted to share an update on our upcoming opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here<\/a> is a video link from the Music In Our Schools Performance from February 24th<\/sup>.  Congratulations to all who performed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> grade<\/strong> students have been playing recorders in music class, and here<\/a> is a page with the information to use the online resource Be A Recorder Star.<\/em>  Note that it may only be used on two devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 5th<\/sup> grade <\/strong>Recorder Recruitment Concert will take place on Monday, April 25th<\/sup> at 7:00 p.m.  Please arrive at 6:45.<\/em>  5th<\/sup> Grade will perform along with the 6th<\/sup> grade band, as well as the high school Honor Band.  Students should wear clothes that are nice but comfortable.  Here<\/a> is a packet of music we will perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th<\/sup>-5th<\/sup> grades <\/strong>will have the opportunity to perform with all 4th<\/sup>-12th<\/sup> grade singers in the All-Unit Choir concert on Monday, May 2nd<\/sup> at 7:00 p.m.  Students should again wear clothes that are nice but comfortable.  Please arrive at 6:45.  <\/em>Here are practice tracks<\/a> and music notation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All-<\/strong>Our Spring Programs will now take place on Thursday, May 19<\/strong>th<\/sup> during the school day-NOTE CHANGE.  The UPDATED times will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kindergarten then 1st<\/sup>: 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th<\/sup>+5th <\/sup>combined: 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd<\/sup>+3rd<\/sup> combined: 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd<\/sup>-8th<\/sup> Grade <\/strong>students are invited to participate in this summer\u2019s Geneseo Community Children\u2019s Choir!  Students will have the opportunity to have fun practicing vocal techniques, while also preparing to share much of what they have learned in a performance. The choir will rehearse from June 23-29, from 10:00 a.m-noon on weekdays, with a concert the final evening.  Here is the registration form<\/a>, due Friday, May 6th<\/sup><\/em>.  Your child may also find forms in the Southwest Music Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
