Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed a great summer. Events for this year are already underway. We are again using the Spotlight on Music <\/em>series in all grades as a basis for all music lessons. We also incorporate a variety of other resources on a daily basis to create a fuller Music Education experience.<\/p>\n 3rd<\/sup> grade students<\/strong> have received recorders and have begun\u00ac\u2020Recorder Karate. <\/em>Using this system, students receive belts for each song they are able to play. The belts start simple with the white belt\u201a\u00c4\u00f4s \u201a\u00c4\u00faHot Cross Buns\u201a\u00c4\u00f9 and make their way up to the black belt\u201a\u00c4\u00f4s more advanced \u201a\u00c4\u00faOde to Joy.\u201a\u00c4\u00f9 Students may come in for extra practice during specified morning and lunch recess periods.<\/p>\n 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> grade students <\/strong>will also spend time this year revisiting Recorder Karate <\/em>and will also have the opportunity to test for belts.<\/p>\n Check back soon for updates regarding our Christmas Programs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
