Hello! My name is Ms. Bouwens and I am one of the second grade teachers at Northside Elementary. I am so happy to be your teacher and get to know all of you! Before that can happen, I want to tell you a little about myself.
I am from Rock Falls, IL. I have a mom, Angie, and a dad, Cris. I am an only child, but I have a big family! I love them all to pieces.
I attended Monmouth College home of the Fighting Scots! I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. The semester before I graduated, I was able to do my student teaching for first grade in Alexis, IL at United North Elementary. I taught two years at Southwest Elementary and now I am beginning my fifth year here at Northside.
I currently live in Moline with my MVP (most valuable person) Kyle. We have been together for 2 years. We are both dog lovers. We have a 2 year old dog named Gus. He is a mini Australian Shepherd.
