GMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Are you ready?\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Less than one week until IMEA Auditions.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the schedule&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gcsdblogs.org\/LaCroix\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/imea-audition-schedule-2009.pdf\">imea-audition-schedule-2009<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Follow this procedure.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Get up early.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Iron your dress clothes for auditions.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 (<strong>Guys<\/strong> &#8211; dress pants, dress shirt, tie&#8230;go for the gold look.) (<strong>Girls<\/strong> &#8211; Skirt or dress.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Nothing too tight around your mid-sections so you can breathe freely.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Class act.)<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Go to the Geneseo Middle School and look at the audition selections and skills selected.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 The earlier you get there, the more time you have to prepare.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Mark your music with the cuts.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Find your audition room.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Remember, you have two rooms to locate.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 One for skills, one for prepared.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 If time before your audition&#8230;go home and practice.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 If no time to return home&#8230;go to warm-up room and practice.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 (MS Choir Room &#8211; Junior Chorus) (MS All-purpose room &#8211; Senior Chorus)<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Arrive at your audition room 10 minutes before your audition time. (Prepared is first, then skills)<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Always be polite.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Say thank-you when your audition is complete.<\/p>\n<p>9.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Make no excuses. Don&#8217;t say &#8220;I&#8217;ve had a cold all week.&#8221;\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 &#8220;I couldn&#8217;t sleep last night.&#8221;\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 I&#8217;m so nervous.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Just sing the best you can sing without apologies.<\/p>\n<p>10. Do not comment on your audition when you leave the room.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Judges can hear most of what you say, even to friends in the hall.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 You never know who is listening.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Wait until you leave site to reflect on your audition.<\/p>\n<p>11.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Everyone is nervous.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 It is ok for you to be nervous.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Just use your nervous energy to your advantage.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Think carefully and take your time.<\/p>\n<p>12.\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Good luck to all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you ready?\u00ac\u00a8\u201a\u00c4\u2020 Less than one week until IMEA Auditions.
