Here is the Harvest Music Festival Large Raffle Instructions and Weekend Schedule.
Month: August 2010
Harvest Fest VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS
We need your help!  It’s time for GPAC’s (Geneseo Performing Arts Council) biggest fundraiser of the year.  This is where we make the majority of the money needed to help support funding for many of our 6th – 12th grade band, choir, speech, and theater programs.
Harvest Fest is organized by volunteers.  It will take around 100 people to make this a success.
Harvest Fest Committee Chairmen will likely be calling you to help work a few hours during the Harvest Festival week-end either selling food, taking tickets, helping with auction items, guiding bands, parking buses, monitoring children games, setting up, cleaning up, etc…  They will be calling September 13, 14, and 15th.  Please consider helping out at this important event.
If you know you would like to help and you have a preference for a certain shift or area, you can call Karen Daniel or Kathryn Hanford our Volunteer Coordinators with your requests 944-3553 or (309)269-2251.  Leave a message on voice mail if no answer.
We are asking for a $5.00 donation per student, but no more than $10.00 per family.  This donation will help us purchase items for the pork chop dinner and concession stands on Saturday and Sunday.
Please deliver your $5.00 donation by September 21st in an envelope marked:  Harvest Fest donation to your director Mr. Versluis, Miss Abel, Mr. Hernandez, Mr. LaCroix, or Mr. Scherer.  You may also mail your donation to:

Greeting from our HS student teacher…welcome Miss Heimstreet
Hello Geneseo,
I’m Miss Heimstreet and I will be student teaching with Mr. LaCroix this fall. My hometown is in Wisconsin but I study at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. I am a big music nerd and absolutely adore singing. Over the years I’ve performed in many different groups experiencing an array of styles from jazz and serial twelve tone pieces, to Renaissance chansons, opera, and everything in between. (Though, while I’m driving my car I have been known to rock out to country and pop songs as well.)
Music is a powerful and creative form of communication. I especially love working with choirs because of the collaborative aspect; everyone working together, focusing on the music to form an incredible and lasting experience.
Looking forward to working with everyone this Fall!
Ms. Samantha Heimstreet
